The Karamázov fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Brickeen Wall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 21st minute of play. Karamázov's Brickeen Wall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 25th minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, Aureliano Cordeara recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rolando Noboa. Aureliano Cordeara showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Thanks to Karamázov's goalie finding himself so far out he could grab the ball Milagros Fraga tried to make a shot after getting passed the defense. Brickeen Wall seemed to really have strength and confidence after that save. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brickeen Wall was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Joaquin Prats the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Peru protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Joaquin Prats had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 45 minutes into the game, one of Peru:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luz Tejedor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Rafael Gallo hit a great ball. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Ege Nesefi in the 97th minute of play. Karamázov's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
