Orlando Casaus scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zula Kosiorek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedykt Perkowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Benedykt Perkowski in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Zeledon Lain kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. 47 minutes into the game, Xavier Figueroa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chile's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Szczakowianka the free kick. Szczakowianka made a substitution. Donald Voldfrom replaced Donald Tusk. In the 49th minute, Xavier Figueroa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Lacasa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Yan Chen Yan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Thiago Pliego. Chile's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Lacasa in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zula Kosiorek saved Szczakowianka from getting behind. In the 98th minute of the match, Mariano Lacasa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zula Kosiorek saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
