Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. 13 minutes into the game, Severo Dubardo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a rather tough play, Independente F.C. Limeira's Severo Dubardo got a free kick in the 14th minute. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Independente F.C. Limeira's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. In the 22nd minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robbie Southgate saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 高坤源 in the 24th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 高坤源 in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Patricio Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robbie Southgate read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Independente F.C. Limeira's 高坤源 fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 37th minute Independente F.C. Limeira were awarded a corner. Amador Quinten went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Amador Quinten almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. In the 39th minute 高坤源 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 高坤源 spun around in front of the goal 39 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Venezuela's goal. 44 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Luís do Valle. 高坤源 in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 高坤源 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 高坤源 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 59 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when 高坤源 came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Robbie Southgate tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas came free and shot a quick shot against goal 64 minutes in the game, fortunately Robbie Southgate had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Matheus França made in the 68th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert. Robbie Southgate took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute 高坤源 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Independente F.C. Limeira's 高坤源 in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. Amador Quinten missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 81 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Jonathan Ferrant right hand side. Robbie Southgate took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Independente F.C. Limeira's Robbie Southgate played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 90th minute of play. In the 93rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Illescas to maneuver through the defense. 高坤源 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Independente F.C. Limeira were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
