In the 19th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Savenije saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, Dennis Pagliarini was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gonzo Style f.c's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Savenije having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enrico Tassotti in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Enrico Tassotti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lucas Savenije. That made the score 0-2 after 62 minutes of play. In the 66thth minute of the game Enrico Tassotti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Gonzo Style f.c defense, Felix Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucas Savenije. The Gonzo Style f.c fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucas Savenije should have stopped the shot. In the 73rd minute, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lucas Savenije. Lucas Savenije yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Gonzo Style f.c getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Cesare Natalin hit a great ball. After 85 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lucas Savenije came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. 94 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuele Bertoni came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Sebastián Puig to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ennio Fino in the 96th minute of play.
