Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edmundo Espiga started the match with the kick off. Christian Goy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmundo Espiga went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 10th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmundo Espiga to maneuver through the defense. The Honduras fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hardo Kaarna in the 24th minute of play. After having played for 26 minutes, 俞冰帆 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Albirex Niigata FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but 俞冰帆 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sebastian Villa took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christian Goy. Christian Goy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Andrew Tongson charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrew Tongson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Honduras booed when Albirex Niigata FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrew Tongson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christian Goy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. In the 36thth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Albirex Niigata FC's Christian Goy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Khai Choy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Albirex Niigata FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hardo Kaarna to make the kick off. Sebastian Villa hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Edmundo Espiga took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Christian Goy to make any attempt to save it. Christian Goy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 65th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Hardo Kaarna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Albirex Niigata FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hardo Kaarna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lautaro Navarro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hardo Kaarna went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Edmundo Espiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Christian Goy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christian Goy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 78th minute of play. After 84 played minutes Albirex Niigata FC got a freekick which was hit by Hardo Kaarna. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 86 minutes, Diego Belém mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Albirex Niigata FC and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sebastian Villa hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Goy prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
