Christian Goy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 25th minute of the match. Christian Goy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After a rather tough play, Panama's Dylan Sarmiento got a free kick in the 35th minute. Khai Choy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Albirex Niigata FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Khai Choy hit a great ball.

If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Goy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 92nd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 96 minutes, Christian Goy successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The Panama players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
