Dani Hernández took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dani Hernández showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 6th minute of the match. Peru's attentive Alonso Berganza managed to snatch the ball when Anders Ståhlman made a throw-in in the 14th minute of the game. After 21 played minutes Chivos de Punto Fijo got a freekick which was hit by Anders Ståhlman. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 26th minute of play forced Chivos de Punto Fijo's goalkeeper Dani Hernández to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dani Hernández narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Peru booed when Chivos de Punto Fijo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mannuel Ser didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Chivos de Punto Fijo's zone, Milagros Fraga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dani Hernández came out of the goal and Milagros Fraga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Dani Hernández was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Anders Ståhlman got a throw-in 41 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Cezary Makomaski. Chivos de Punto Fijo's Dani Hernández played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 44th minute of play. The supporters of Peru booed when Chivos de Punto Fijo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anders Ståhlman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 46 minutes, Anders Ståhlman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chivos de Punto Fijo and the Peru players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Murillo to make the kick off. Anders Ståhlman made in the 51st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. Dani Hernández made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luz Tejedor in the 57th minute. Chivos de Punto Fijo made a substitution. Filip Bochinski replaced Liev Tolstoy. Chivos de Punto Fijo's Äliqulu Vermäliyev was substituted for Narciso Gombal. 61 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Filip Bochinski came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute, Filip Bochinski made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Chivos de Punto Fijo's Dani Hernández proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Chivos de Punto Fijo from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Peru booed when Chivos de Punto Fijo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anders Ståhlman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dani Hernández stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Äliqulu Vermäliyev, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 74 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Äliqulu Vermäliyev came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on Chivos de Punto Fijo's corner Mannuel Ser fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rolando Noboa quite easily take care of the ball. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dani Hernández read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Äliqulu Vermäliyev notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Peru's Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 84th minute Filip Bochinski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Äliqulu Vermäliyev in the 85th minute of play. Mannuel Ser kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. In the 89th minute, Mannuel Ser hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Chivos de Punto Fijo's Filip Bochinski. But to his dismay, Filip Bochinski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Peru's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Chivos de Punto Fijo had won, even though Peru had held more of the ball.
