In the 3rd minute Tran Vrolijcx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Tran Vrolijcx stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Tran Vrolijcx tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ad Fundum's Kamiel Ingelborgh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 9th minute of play. Jarno Van Dyck hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Tomás Baldaia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurel Cornea, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Ad Fundum's Kamiel Ingelborgh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 27th minute of play. Kamiel Ingelborgh stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Agustín Saelices's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. After 32 minutes, Jordi Paschiers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ad Fundum and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Ad Fundum's Tran Vrolijcx fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Ad Fundum's Aurel Cornea got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 40th minute Tran Vrolijcx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tran Vrolijcx got free with Julio Vera in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Ad Fundum's Tomás Baldaia got a free kick in the 45th minute.

In the 51st minute, Tran Vrolijcx ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. When Jarno Van Dyck fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ad Fundum's protests and gave Jarno Van Dyck a yellow card for diving instead. Jarno Van Dyck hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felix Montenegro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Kamiel Ingelborgh when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 66th minute Jordi Paschiers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kamiel Ingelborgh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tran Vrolijcx in the 77th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Kamiel Ingelborgh in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 82 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented Kamiel Ingelborgh managed to make a qualified save. Ad Fundum's players were relieved. Kamiel Ingelborgh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tran Vrolijcx in the 85th minute of play. 85 minutes into the game, Ad Fundum's Tran Vrolijcx nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kamiel Ingelborgh. That made the score 2-1 after 89 minutes of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Ad Fundum support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
