Epifanio Iratzeder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Mina in the 7th minute of the match. Jim Croce got a throw-in 9 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Diego Ronconi. Joakim Brandin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. 14 minutes into the game, Eliseo Mina cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Epifanio Iratzeder was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Anthony Alvarado fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peru's protests and gave Anthony Alvarado a yellow card for diving instead. Epifanio Iratzeder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Mina, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After 26 played minutes Artetas artilleri got a freekick which was hit by Valter Siöman. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joakim Brandin in the 28th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 31st minute of play forced Artetas artilleri's goalkeeper Epifanio Iratzeder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Artetas artilleri's Epifanio Iratzeder. Epifanio Iratzeder was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Abraham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute of the match Artetas artilleri got a corner. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Valter Siöman ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 43rd minute of play forced Artetas artilleri's goalkeeper Epifanio Iratzeder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Artetas artilleri's zone, Julian Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Epifanio Iratzeder came out of the goal and Julian Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Artetas artilleri's goalkeeper Epifanio Iratzeder, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 53rd minute of the game Jim Croce made a throw-in which Noel Abraham played forward. With a little luck, Artetas artilleri's Epifanio Iratzeder got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jim Croce made in the 56th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Brian Jones immediately put the ball in play. Peru's Alonso Berganza quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jim Croce, made in the 61st minute of the game. Artetas artilleri's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Julian Murillo 62 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. Epifanio Iratzeder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 68th minute of play. With a little luck, Artetas artilleri's Epifanio Iratzeder got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 73rdth minute of the game Julian Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Artetas artilleri's Epifanio Iratzeder was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The throw-in from Diego Ronconi in the 74th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Epifanio Iratzeder stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Epifanio Iratzeder made a huge save. Thanks to some nice moves Milagros Fraga could shoot a difficult shot in the 81st minute, which Epifanio Iratzeder however easily saved by the left post. In the 82nd minute, Diego Ronconi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. In the 83rd minute, Diego Ronconi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Artetas artilleri's goalkeeper Epifanio Iratzeder, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eliseo Mina in the 86th minute. A very nice done corner allowed Rafael Gallo to score against Epifanio Iratzeder in Artetas artilleri's goal. 0-4 after 86 minutes. With his leg Epifanio Iratzeder managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when Peru's Rafael Gallo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rafael Gallo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Epifanio Iratzeder read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The Artetas artilleri supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Peru's performance. The match ended with a win for Peru.
