The crowd rose to their feet as Alexandrie CF's Ruslan Tikhonov slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dante Lacasa. That made the score 1-0 after 27 minutes of play. The audience was convinced that Francisco Conceicão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Alexandrie CF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Mexico's Joel Gaona to fire away a dangerous shot which Matthias Brandin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Matthias Brandin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 57th minute. 66 minutes into the match, Alexandrie CF's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Matthias Brandin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ruslan Tikhonov went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score.
