Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Veto Izaguirre started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Veto Izaguirre got free with Benito Sanz in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 7th minute, Gabri Mala reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benito Sanz. The goal made the score 1-0. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Aaron Alcocer hit a great ball. Denis Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Veto Izaguirre. Milio Ortiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Tasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Veto Izaguirre tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 23 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. In the 26th minute, Izar Irureta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 27 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Juan Rubio. Milio Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 32nd minute of play. 36 minutes into the game, Veto Izaguirre cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 41st minute, Academy F6 Fernandao's Veto Izaguirre dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Gerardo Erosa kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. When Veto Izaguirre came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Academy F6 Fernandao fans jumped to their feet. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Izar Irureta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Izar Irureta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Veto Izaguirre in the 85th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Veto Izaguirre in the 86th minute of play. Izar Irureta's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Izar Irureta helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Academy F6 Fernandao's Izar Irureta got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 92nd minute Veto Izaguirre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
