In the 5th minute Rafael Nadal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Armando Lamb in the 7th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Nadal in the 14th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niguel Pasten kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Everardo Ado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 17th minute of the match. Algarrobo's Juan Ignacio Vera got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rigoberto Mina charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rigoberto Mina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The long shot by Dani Alves in the 22nd minute really tested Jonathan Ferrant's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Rafael Nadal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Diego Armando Lamb sent off a good shot on target. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After 31st play minutes Diego Armando Lamb shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Jonathan Ferrant and just under the crossbar into goal. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Everardo Ado having to make a save. In the 36th minute, Diego Armando Lamb ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. A collision led to Algarrobo getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Wilson Custódio hit a great ball. In the 40th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Algarrobo's goalie prevented a goal. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmundo Cañas in the 43rd minute. 45 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Nadal came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Algarrobo's goalkeeper Everardo Ado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Wilfredo Marchetti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Wilfredo Marchetti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Algarrobo booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Jimeno Carrera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Algarrobo's supporters rose to their feet, but Jimeno Carrera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Algarrobo's Jimeno Carrera in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diego Armando Lamb went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Juan Ignacio Vera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Algarrobo's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Everardo Ado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Jimeno Carrera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Jimeno Carrera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 88 minutes into the match, Diego Armando Lamb had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diego Armando Lamb was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. After 90 minutes, Joshua Secada mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Algarrobo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 93rd minute Jimeno Carrera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Everardo Ado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Algarrobo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
