Legion Etrangere's Cyryl Chazen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 3rd minute of play. After 5 minutes Uruguay's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Usub Saia who took care of the corner kick. Cyryl Chazen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 8th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Usub Saia in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. After 13 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Beldad. Usub Saia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Joaquin Gayoso made a huge save. Cyryl Chazen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 15th minute of play. After some careless play in the Legion Etrangere defense, Maximiliano Escribano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cyryl Chazen. The Legion Etrangere fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cyryl Chazen should have stopped the shot. Legion Etrangere's Cyryl Chazen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Gisbert in the 21st minute of play. Usub Saias short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Joaquin Gayoso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Kevin Carballal kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After having played for 29 minutes, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Uruguay's Francisco Seco pulled a muscle in his back after 30 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Erni Valing fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Legion Etrangere's protests and gave Erni Valing a yellow card for diving instead. Uruguay made a substitution. Fernando Zorita replaced Francisco Seco. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Legion Etrangere was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erni Valing didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaime Cazalla took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cyryl Chazen. Legion Etrangere's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Conrado Virila got a throw-in 37 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Armin Auru. When Camilo Covarrubias fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uruguay's protests and gave Camilo Covarrubias a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cyryl Chazen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Armin Auru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cyryl Chazen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After the first half Uruguay were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernando Zorita to make the kick off. Camilo Franco's late challenge caught a Legion Etrangere's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Franco helped the player get up and apologised. Camilo Franco kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Priidu Kluge hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Atabey Zeyyat during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Legion Etrangere was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atabey Zeyyat didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Legion Etrangere's Cyryl Chazen got control of the ball when Fernando Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cyryl Chazen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 60th minute of play forced Legion Etrangere's goalkeeper Cyryl Chazen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 62 played minutes Legion Etrangere got a freekick which was hit by Hardo Laos. Fernando Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Legion Etrangere getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Aare Lehismets hit a great ball. When Jaime Cazalla came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Cazalla couldn't finish the play. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Usub Saia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens Berggren in the 89th minute of play. Jens Berggren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Jaime Cazalla came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Cazalla couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Uruguay walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
