Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. After having played for 7 minutes, Mats Gerdberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Woopbongo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mats Gerdberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9th minute, Ola Håkansson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 13th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valter Wallgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mats Gerdberg during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mats Gerdberg kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Ola Håkansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Woopbongo's supporters rose to their feet, but Ola Håkansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The referee gave Venezuela a penalty, 22 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tomas Illescas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Woopbongo's Valter Wallgren. 1-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Edgar Albohm kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 2-1 in the 27 minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgar Albohm in the 32nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rutger Billberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Valter Wallgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 39th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgar Albohm stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Patricio Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patricio Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. Mats Gerdberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mats Gerdberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Pär Rudqvist hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Woopbongo's Valter Wallgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Woopbongo from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mats Gerdberg in the 86th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Valter Wallgren made a huge save. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Woopbongo.
