Intxaurrondo's Salvador España played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 30th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manel Cardeñosa in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Nestor Van Den Broek sent off a good shot on target. After 36 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Carlos Gorbea who took care of the corner kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Nestor Van Den Broek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Intxaurrondo's supporters rose to their feet, but Nestor Van Den Broek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alex Boșneag kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Manel Cardeñosa struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Intxaurrondo. Intxaurrondo's Salvador España proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Intxaurrondo from getting a goal against them. In the 68thth minute of the game Nestor Van Den Broek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Intxaurrondo's goalkeeper Salvador España had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. The audience was convinced that Manel Cardeñosa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Cordareo Folch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nestor Van Den Broek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
