Orhan Yaren who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Dante Lacasa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Facundo Cadaval's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abdurrahim Kutlualp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abdurrahim Kutlualp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. 14 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Candar SK's Abdurrahim Kutlualp. Abdurrahim Kutlualp was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Berker Rıza Usman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Orhan Yaren's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dante Lacasa firmly grabbed it by the left post. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Berker Rıza Usman tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 30th minute, Ahmet Kutsi Irgatbaşı hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Gaona was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 31st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Abdurrahim Kutlualp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Berker Rıza Usman took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a free kick in the 40th minute. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Berker Rıza Usman in the 43rd minute. Abdurrahim Kutlualp stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lautaro Mancebo's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. An unexpected shot in the 50th minute by Lautaro Mancebo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 54th minute, Joel Gaona reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Abdurrahim Kutlualp. The goal made the score 1-2. Candar SK's Abdurrahim Kutlualp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Candar SK from getting a goal against them. Abdurrahim Kutlualp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Berker Rıza Usman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orhan Yaren in the 67th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the game, Candar SK's Orhan Yaren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. 72 minutes into the match, Candar SK's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Abdurrahim Kutlualp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 75 minutes Candar SK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Lautaro Mancebo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-3 in the 78th playminute. In the 87th minute, Berker Rıza Usman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdurrahim Kutlualp having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Abdurrahim Kutlualp quite easily take care of the ball. Mexico's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
