An unexpectedly hard shot by Niels Vandamme in the 4th minute of play forced Twierdza Osowiec's goalkeeper Ricardo Hendrickx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A throw-in in the 12th minute of the game was made by Firmo Linde with Pan Jian Yong as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Kartal Başar might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Steve De Wilde. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kartal Başar ran back to his position shaking his head. Ricardo Hendrickx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pieter Coekelberghs, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute Pan Jian Yong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Hendrickx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Despite this Ricardo Hendrickx quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 26th minute, Twierdza Osowiec's Kartal Başar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Steve De Wilde. Steve De Wilde yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Lions United's Steve De Wilde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kartal Başar in the 31st minute of play. Ricardo Hendrickx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niels Vandamme in the 34th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Niels Vandamme's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Hendrickx was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Lions United:s Steve De Wilde showed great skill when he stopped Jaap Stam:s penalty. 3-0 came in the 87th minute when Jaap Stam all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Steve De Wilde. The Twierdza Osowiec players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
