After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Serdar Gulson managed to get in a good position for a shot. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Erubiel Erasto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Erubiel Erasto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game was made by Sandro Baylon with Qiu Xi Wen as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The audience was convinced that Serdar Gulson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Alex Chicote kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Serdar Gulson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. FC Lëtzebuerg were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Qiu Xi Wen took the corner. A very nice done corner allowed Severo Damario to score against Jonathan Ferrant in Venezuela's goal. 4-0 after 47 minutes. FC Lëtzebuerg made a substitution. Freddy Hirsch replaced Manuel Ferrara. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

When Serdar Gulson came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the FC Lëtzebuerg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serdar Gulson couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Serdar Gulson managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Lëtzebuerg's supporters rose to their feet, but Serdar Gulson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
