Spectators: 52 (Terracing: 39, Seating: 12, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Abram Sarmiento started the match with the kick off. Ferdinand Zdraşcu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. In the 6th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Aguilar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Cardozo in the 8th minute of the match. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. Axel Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Cardozo, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Edmund Lidberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Santino Seco notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Club Olimpia's Alfredo Aguilar. Alfredo Aguilar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 35 minutes into the game, Colombia's Abram Sarmiento nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfredo Aguilar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernando Cardozo in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Manzanares saved Colombia from getting behind. 39 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Cardozo came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pascual Carballar kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Colombia's attentive Axel Montenegro managed to snatch the ball when Edmund Lidberg made a throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game.

The wind increased when Fernando Cardozo made the kick off in the second half. Roque Gora succeeded in the game's 56th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. 61 minutes into the match, Fernando Cardozo notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Ferdinand Zdraşcu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. 70 minutes into the game, Roque Gora cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Club Olimpia made a substitution. Nelson Haedo replaced Fernando Cardozo. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. When Club Olimpia's Roberto Bueldi in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Colombia's goalie prevented a goal. Alfredo Aguilar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kevin Mastache in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Club Olimpia's Roberto Bueldi in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Colombia's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Club Olimpia booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Mastache didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Nelson Haedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. If Roberto Bueldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Roberto Bueldi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nelson Haedo in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Manzanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 92 minutes into the match, Club Olimpia's Roberto Bueldi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Manzanares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Club Olimpia walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
