In the 32ndth minute of the game Johannes Weijnandts who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 33rd minute, Johannes Weijnandts got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Suikerklontjes's Josef Rits got a free kick in the 34th minute. Maximiliano Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Sammy Godts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maximiliano Escribano kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Josef Rits hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Sammy Godts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Cazalla in the 43rd minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Maximiliano Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Sammy Godts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Francisco Seco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sammy Godts. Suikerklontjes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francisco Seco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The supporters of Suikerklontjes booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johannes Weijnandts in the 66th minute of play. Sammy Godts made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 68th minute. 75 minutes into the game, Herald Van de Goor threw the ball into play from the sideline. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Johannes Weijnandts kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Suikerklontjes's zone, Francisco Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sammy Godts came out of the goal and Francisco Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sammy Godts made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Maximiliano Escribano sent off a good shot on target. Suikerklontjes were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after Uruguay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Herald Van de Goor took the corner. Francisco Seco struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Sammy Godts didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. Sammy Godts made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Maximiliano Escribano sent off a good shot on target. Uruguay's attentive Alberto Gisbert managed to snatch the ball when Mike Armentier made a throw-in in the 96th minute of the game.
