In the 18th minute, Matias Gilis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 21 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. Thanks to some nice moves Johannes Weijnandts could shoot a difficult shot in the 30th minute, which Jonathan Ferrant however easily saved by the left post. Yoachim Hauwaerts came free with the goalkeeper in the 34th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jonathan Ferrant could save by the left post. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Josef Rits hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johannes Weijnandts in the 39th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Johannes Weijnandts took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Suikerklontjes booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. In the 56th match minute, Suikerklontjes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herald Van de Goor to maneuver through the defense. Rigoberto Mina hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Josef Rits during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd match minute, Suikerklontjes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herald Van de Goor to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yoachim Hauwaerts, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johannes Weijnandts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute, Bart Van de Velde got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 90 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boris Kortens in the 92nd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Suikerklontjes were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
