Sonny Alén made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 14th minute of play. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kamil Momodu in the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Axel Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sonny Alén was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Fernando Dracena tried to sneak it across the goal line. Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 22nd minute of play forced Bornova's goalkeeper Sonny Alén to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Arif Burak Saygur fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bornova's protests and gave Arif Burak Saygur a yellow card for diving instead. Colombia's Gael Capmany was substituted for Joshua Garrido. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. 41 minutes into the game, Bornova's Yusuf Bahadır Rahmet nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. In the 44th minute, Michal Setara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Bornova's Ahmet Nafiz Özilter. But to his dismay, Ahmet Nafiz Özilter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abram Sarmiento was the one to do the kick off. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 5-2 when Kamil Momodu sped through Colombia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Kevin Mastache kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, 严桦泉 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orlando Tafalla hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Nafiz Özilter came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yusuf Bahadır Rahmet in the 66th minute of play. Luis Cazalla hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Colombia's attentive Orlando Tafalla managed to snatch the ball when Hüseyin Rahmi Ortaçgil made a throw-in in the 82nd minute of the game. In the 85th minute Ahmet Nafiz Özilter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Bornova's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Mastache came free, but Sonny Alén reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. From a short distance, Colombia's Ignacio Mastache, in the 86th minute, tried to place the ball behind Sonny Alén, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. Sonny Alén was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Kevin Mastache capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kevin Mastache really showed his touch with that goal: 5-3. In the 93rd minute, Pascual Carballar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sonny Alén was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-4. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Bornova had played much better football throughout.
