Milagros Fraga took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Holer Nolan. Holer Nolan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The audience was convinced that Karl-Åke Söderquist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. In the 59th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holer Nolan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karl-Åke Söderquist might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rolando Noboa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Holer Nolan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joaquin Prats in the 68th minute. Henry Roos thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Holer Nolan, a very annoying self made goal in the 91st minute which led to 1-4.
