In the 20th minute, Edinson Haaland left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chinese CJ Youth Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The supporters of Chinese CJ Youth Academy booed when Liverpool was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Espina didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38thth minute of the game Edinson Haaland who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Liverpool's León Carbonell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edinson Haaland in the 39th minute of play forced Liverpool's goalkeeper León Carbonell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Liverpool's zone, Edinson Haaland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. León Carbonell came out of the goal and Edinson Haaland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 45 minutes, Edinson Haaland managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chinese CJ Youth Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edinson Haaland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. León Carbonell came out of the goal and Edinson Haaland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

León Carbonell made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Roni Ronaldinho sent off a good shot on target. If Edinson Haaland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. León Carbonell made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Edinson Haaland sent off a good shot on target. Chinese CJ Youth Academy's Frank Frankfurter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abuzer Gündoğan in the 70th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Chinese CJ Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Abuzer Gündoğan came free, but Frank Frankfurter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edinson Haaland might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over León Carbonell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edinson Haaland ran back to his position shaking his head. Edinson Haaland could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but León Carbonell made a huge save. Chinese CJ Youth Academy's Günther Doty was substituted for Edinson Haaland. 76 minutes in the game Marcelo Espina did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Czeslaw Rudy. León Carbonell came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Chinese CJ Youth Academy's Günther Doty. But to his dismay, Günther Doty quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. After some careless play in the Liverpool defense, Günther Doty kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of León Carbonell. The Liverpool fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that León Carbonell should have stopped the shot. A sloppy throw-in by Marcelo Espina in the 91st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Chinese CJ Youth Academy's Bai Feng Xiang. León Carbonell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Günther Doty in the 93rd minute. 94 minutes into the match, Günther Doty had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of León Carbonell. Liverpool's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Günther Doty was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6.
