The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Adrianinho Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. In the 6th minute Adrianinho Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but León Carbonell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's goal looked a bit too open when Sakarias Granström came free, but Vasco Goycochea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Adrianinho Meirelles took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for León Carbonell to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Duro in the 12th minute of play forced ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's goalkeeper Vasco Goycochea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute, one of Liverpool:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Liverpool. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Vasco Goycochea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipo Manzano in the 24th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adrianinho Meirelles in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck León Carbonell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcelo Espina made in the 27th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Czeslaw Rudy immediately put the ball in play. León Carbonell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrianinho Meirelles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Liverpool getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Czeslaw Rudy hit a great ball. In the 37th minute, Adrianinho Meirelles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Adrianinho Meirelles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but León Carbonell made a huge save. León Carbonell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrianinho Meirelles in the 42nd minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Hugo Duro made the kick off in the second half. León Carbonell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrianinho Meirelles in the 55th minute of the match. León Carbonell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mai Bin Kuan's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sakarias Granström in the 76th minute of play forced ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's goalkeeper Vasco Goycochea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mai Bin Kuan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without León Carbonell having to make a save. When Mai Bin Kuan came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mai Bin Kuan couldn't finish the play. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
