Zayvion Ispuzua scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of León Carbonell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 10th minute of the match, Hugo Duro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gilmar Quadros saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Barcelona de América's Zayvion Ispuzua in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Liverpool's goalie prevented a goal. Gilmar Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abuzer Gündoğan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Barcelona de América's goalkeeper Gilmar Quadros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipo Manzano. 29 minutes into the game, Zayvion Ispuzua cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. León Carbonell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zayvion Ispuzua might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over León Carbonell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zayvion Ispuzua ran back to his position shaking his head. León Carbonell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zayvion Ispuzua in the 32nd minute of play. Liverpool's León Carbonell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zayvion Ispuzua in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute of the match Barcelona de América got a corner. Liverpool's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Perlaza Lena ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 43rd match minute, Liverpool was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Espina to maneuver through the defense. León Carbonell came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Barcelona de América's Zayvion Ispuzua. But to his dismay, Zayvion Ispuzua quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Ronaldinho Gentenaar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without León Carbonell having to interfere. Barcelona de América's Caetano Levandowsky was substituted for Zayvion Ispuzua. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hugo Duro to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Ronaldinho Gentenaar fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. León Carbonell was a little too slow when Caetano Levandowsky got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-5. León Carbonell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Caetano Levandowsky in the 59th minute. Gilmar Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abuzer Gündoğan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caetano Levandowsky got free with León Carbonell in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Ronaldinho Gentenaar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barcelona de América's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronaldinho Gentenaar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. León Carbonell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 73 minutes into the match, Viorel Oniga sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because León Carbonell threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Viorel Oniga this time. After 75 minutes, Caetano Levandowsky made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Liverpool's León Carbonell tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Caetano Levandowsky kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving León Carbonell. That made the score 0-7 in the 80 minute of play. Liverpool's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Caetano Levandowsky 85 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-8. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Caetano Levandowsky in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck León Carbonell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 94th minute Barcelona de América were awarded a corner. Perlaza Lena went to the cornerflag to take it. Barcelona de América's Bradford Scalzo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but León Carbonell in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A hard shot 96 in the game by Caetano Levandowsky from a close distance when the talented León Carbonell managed to make a qualified save. Liverpool's players were relieved. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Barcelona de América eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
