After 10 played minutes SteffosPojkar FF got a freekick which was hit by Maximilian Seemayer. Luis Andino scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hubert Ahlfors, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 17 minutes into the game, Mariusz Niemoj recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. Mariusz Niemoj showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind SteffosPojkar FF's goalkeeper Hubert Ahlfors, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hubert Ahlfors took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonatan Andreasson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Hubert Ahlfors stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute. The corner led Ecuador's Cristian Sancho to fire away a dangerous shot which Hubert Ahlfors despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Hubert Ahlfors didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Agustín Saelices went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Napoleon Glozor in the 38th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otto Kleiveland in the 42nd minute of play. Hubert Ahlfors didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

A well-hit corner resulted in Agustín Saelices heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 66 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Lennart Grelsson came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Carl Di Canio was slow to take the kick. During this time SteffosPojkar FF's players had a chance to rest. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hubert Ahlfors having to interfere. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philip Molander, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. SteffosPojkar FF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Carl Di Canio in the 78th minute. SteffosPojkar FF's Carl Di Canio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Hubert Ahlfors didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. SteffosPojkar FF's Hubert Ahlfors played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 85th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Ecuador's Hubert Ahlfors threw himself towards the right post 86 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luis Andino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Hansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hubert Ahlfors showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 89th minute of the match. After having played for 95 minutes, Jonatan Andreasson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SteffosPojkar FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonatan Andreasson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SteffosPojkar FF.
