Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Girondins4Ever's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. Fabrice Verin tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Zygmunt Bochinski. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Rafael Gallo took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Zygmunt Bochinski to make any attempt to save it.
