When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Gao Wei Fei took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Thiago Pliego to make any attempt to save it. If Gao Wei Fei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Gao Wei Fei tried to sneak it across the goal line. Michael Krawczyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Casaus in the 17th minute of play. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gao Wei Fei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Thiago Pliego made a huge save.
