But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mar Cheze couldn't finish the play. Hans Ullrich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulius Rožėnas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AC Sparta Plzeň's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Adolfo Brandão scored to the left of an out of position Hans Ullrich, making the score, 1-0. Hans Ullrich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulius Rožėnas in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute of the match Hexo Utd got a corner. AC Sparta Plzeň's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mar Cheze ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Gražvydas Drąsutis heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. AC Sparta Plzeň's Hans Ullrich proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save AC Sparta Plzeň from getting a goal against them. Max Limont took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roman Vrobel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Hexo Utd's Vilmantas Kalinauskas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulius Rožėnas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hexo Utd were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after AC Sparta Plzeň's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mar Cheze took the corner. Hans Ullrich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Brandão, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Hans Ullrich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Datcu in the 58th minute of play. The ball had pretty good speed, but Max Limont firmly grabbed it by the left post. AC Sparta Plzeň's Eliáš Ševeček was substituted for Roman Vrobel. Max Limont made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douglas Torres in the 95th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the AC Sparta Plzeň players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Hexo Utd.
