The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Andino to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute, Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC's Chan Cho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Felix Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Richard Textex didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. When Daniel Zorita got free in front of the goal in the 14th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Richard Textex was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wiliam Palma didn't get a good kick on the ball. The attack was good, but when Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Rigoberto Villalaz hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Rigoberto Villalaz's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rigoberto Villalaz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd match minute, Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Villalaz to maneuver through the defense. Wiliam Palma hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Richard Textex read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Textex saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the game, Luis Herrera recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. Luis Herrera showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Textex having to interfere. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. In the 43rdth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC's Richard Textex was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Richard Textex didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Luis Herrera hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Richard Textex. That made the score 2-1 after 51 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Richard Textex in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chan Cho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wiliam Palma kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After 67 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Richard Textex came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 76th minute of play forced Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC's goalkeeper Richard Textex to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Richard Textex successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a little luck, Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC's Richard Textex got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC made a substitution. Sebastián Ríos replaced Chan Cho. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Richard Textex. Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC's Richard Textex played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 92nd minute of play. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
