In the 15th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Illescas to maneuver through the defense. 何博辉 got in the 20th minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Jonathan Ferrant. This was a shot which ended in a score of 2-0. 洪晨阳 hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and 洪晨阳 capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. 洪晨阳 really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
