If Ernesto Martini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marco Day made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernesto Martini in the 12th minute. Joel Hibai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristoforo Tammaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 17th minute of play. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Martini in the 20th minute of play. Ernesto Martini spun around in front of the goal 20 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of USA's goal. A collision led to Lunatics of Arianrhod getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Ernesto Martini hit a great ball. After having played for 22 minutes, Cassius Byrne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. USA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cassius Byrne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lunatics of Arianrhod's Cristoforo Tammaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 24th minute of play. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Martini, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Lunatics of Arianrhod's Joel Hibai was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marco Day in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cristoforo Tammaro came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by USA's Cassius Byrne. But to his dismay, Cassius Byrne quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Johan Ström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Marco Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristoforo Tammaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 48th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Lunatics of Arianrhod made a substitution. Francesco Romino replaced Walter Giusti. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cassius Byrne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristoforo Tammaro made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Cassius Byrne sent off a good shot on target. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francesco Romino in the 57th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Hibai in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Day saved USA from getting behind. In the 62nd minute Joel Hibai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cassius Byrne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Cristoforo Tammaro made a huge save. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fedele Panza in the 64th minute of the match. Cristoforo Tammaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 67 minutes Lunatics of Arianrhod's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cassius Byrne who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Lunatics of Arianrhod's goalie and right to Jenson Smith. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Lunatics of Arianrhod's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. With his leg Cristoforo Tammaro managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when USA's Cassius Byrne fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Fedele Panza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. USA's Sam Campbell was substituted for Cassius Byrne. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Martini in the 73rd minute of play. USA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Monty Rogers in the 77th minute. USA's Monty Rogers was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cristoforo Tammaro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. Joel Hibai's late challenge caught a USA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joel Hibai helped the player get up and apologised. After 87 played minutes Lunatics of Arianrhod got a freekick which was hit by Joel Hibai. Cristoforo Tammaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Baker, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lunatics of Arianrhod fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 96th minute. Penalty! USA's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
