Lunatics of Arianrhod's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Hibai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Elia Di Sipio in the 11th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Ernesto Martini kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Hibai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Hibai made a great header on Lunatics of Arianrhod's corner, it was just that Peru's Rolando Noboa managed to reach the ball for a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernesto Martini in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristoforo Tammaro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julian Murillo took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristoforo Tammaro. Cristoforo Tammaro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Cristoforo Tammaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 39th minute of the match. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Joel Hibai tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ernesto Martini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. After the first half Peru were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Hibai in the 52nd minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Fedele Panza came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francesco Romino in the 87th minute of play. In the 90th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Eliseo Mina went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 92nd minute, Rafael Gallo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
