Cléber Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 8th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guillermo Mariano during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nevsehir JK's Cléber Marques was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cléber Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Cléber Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Desiderio Oliveiro. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nevsehir JK's goalkeeper Cléber Marques, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Nevsehir JK booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute Orestis Kamaras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Cléber Marques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Desiderio Oliveiro made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Desiderio Oliveiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Nevsehir JK booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nevsehir JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mehmet Anıl Yersel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Desiderio Oliveiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 89 minutes of play, Nevsehir JK's Orestis Kamaras made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Desiderio Oliveiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Desiderio Oliveiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the Nevsehir JK players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
