Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Adam Niziolek sent off a good shot on target. 14 minutes into the match, Radarowcy Szczecin's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Radomir Zurawski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred Cielencki in the 16th minute of play. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 22nd minute. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred Cielencki in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute Radarowcy Szczecin were awarded a corner. Don Romário went to the cornerflag to take it. Radarowcy Szczecin's Don Romário was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rolando Noboa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 26 played minutes Radarowcy Szczecin got a freekick which was hit by Eugenio Umea. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfred Cielencki in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Alfred Cielencki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 30th minute of play forced Radarowcy Szczecin's goalkeeper Radomir Zurawski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, Eliseo Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred Cielencki in the 48th minute of play. The Radarowcy Szczecin players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adam Niziolek was the one to do the kick off. Julian Murillos short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Radomir Zurawski to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Radarowcy Szczecin getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Narūnas Baltramaitis hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Radarowcy Szczecin's Narūnas Baltramaitis got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute of the match, Milagros Fraga got a very nice opportunity to score, but Radomir Zurawski was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Radomir Zurawski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Peru booed when Radarowcy Szczecin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Krzysztof Lichniak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Radarowcy Szczecin made a substitution. Boguslaw Piesciuk replaced Alfred Cielencki. After 74 played minutes Radarowcy Szczecin got a freekick which was hit by Krzysztof Lichniak. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Radomir Zurawski in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luz Tejedor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Radomir Zurawski made a huge save. 79 minutes into the match, Radarowcy Szczecin's goalkeeper Radomir Zurawski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Milagros Fraga. 81 minutes into the match, Adam Niziolek had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adam Niziolek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso.
