Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Mexico's Joel Gaona started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Makareus Picoulas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Octavio Garcia got free with Dante Lacasa in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dacian Hirean could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. 48 minutes into the game, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Celedonio Lastur made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1.
