Ain Averin came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Colombia's Santino Seco. But to his dismay, Santino Seco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Santino Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ain Averin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ain Averin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute Colombia were awarded a corner. Axel Montenegro went to the cornerflag to take it. Axel Montenegro made a great header on Colombia's corner, it was just that FC Dundee's Ain Averin managed to reach the ball for a save. 27 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Kaido Jaas came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaido Jaas in the 28th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Montenegro in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ain Averin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ain Averin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abram Sarmiento's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute, FC Dundee's Joosep Hindremäe seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Joosep Hindremäe the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Dundee protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Joosep Hindremäe had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Dundee fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 38th minute. Penalty! In the 40th minute there was a penalty for Colombia. Axel Montenegro stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ain Averin. 2-2. Ain Averin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 46th minute of the match. FC Dundee's Arno Luuk was substituted for Hardi Lind. Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Axel Montenegro in the 49th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abram Sarmiento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. FC Dundee's supporters rose to their feet, but Arno Luuk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ain Averin was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Ignacio Mastache capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ignacio Mastache really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Edvin Hargi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Edvin Hargi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle went the supporters of Colombia were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant FC Dundee side.
