The supporters of Odważni booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Covarrubias didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Joaquin Gayoso managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Odważni's Ali Atıf Nezir fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ali Atıf Nezir in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Korneliusz Wieloch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Joaquin Gayoso successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ali Atıf Nezir in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Witomir Sliwinski during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Witomir Sliwinski kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The referee ignored Odważni's protests and gave Zula Kasprzak a yellow card for diving instead. In the 59th minute there was a penalty for Uruguay.
