After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bahiano Camarasa quite easily take care of the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Triana Rep. Ind.'s Bahiano Camarasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th match minute, Triana Rep. Ind. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adulfo Alcantara to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, Triana Rep. Ind.'s goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Bahiano Camarasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute of the match, Adulfo Alcantara tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Adulfo Alcantara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 34th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bahiano Camarasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amaro Casas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Amaro Casas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 39th minute. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball. Bahiano Camarasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 45th minute of play. Felix Montenegro took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bahiano Camarasa. Bahiano Camarasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Triana Rep. Ind. made a substitution. Ola Lagerberg replaced Adulfo Alcantara. The wind increased when Ola Lagerberg made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 56 minutes, Ola Lagerberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Triana Rep. Ind.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ola Lagerberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Bahiano Camarasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Triana Rep. Ola Lagerberg made a great header on Triana Rep. Ind.'s corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Elvio Olmos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Bahiano Camarasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score.
