Basmane Texas's supporters rose to their feet, but Gürsel Aksel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th minute, Serkan Kocaman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Basmane Texas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Gürsel Aksel scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 3-0. In the 40th minute Serkan Kocaman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basmane Texas's Gürsel Aksel got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 46 minutes into the match, Basmane Texas's Gürsel Aksel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Franco Armani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gürsel Aksel was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Basmane Texas's Lou Lou got a free kick in the 70th minute. 79 minutes into the game, Rigoberto Mina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Basmane Texas the free kick. 85 minutes into the game, Basmane Texas's Gürsel Aksel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Serkan Kocaman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the match, Gürsel Aksel notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lou Lou made in the 95th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Gürsel Aksel however managed to control.
