The audience was convinced that Axel Montenegro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kiran Tomasini was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Gregorio Atauri charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Axel Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Colombia's Santino Seco to fire away a dangerous shot which Kiran Tomasini despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Kiran Tomasini was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Santino Seco showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 61 minute of play. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Luna in the 65th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Ferris Stock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Ferris Stock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. THE ROKERY PIMKIS's Neil Dussling was substituted for Matthias Lepage. The crowd rose to their feet as Ignacio Mastache kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kiran Tomasini. That made the score 1-3 in the 70 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by René Stocker in the 74th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute Francisco Mino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
