The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. After 42 played minutes 中国温州 got a freekick which was hit by 朱希竞. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 45th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 宋荣延 made a kick off. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 中国温州's 柯星乐 got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 柯星乐 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. After 91 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. An unexpectedly hard shot by 宋荣延 in the 94th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 中国温州's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
