Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute Moises Fernandino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Quintero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Luis Rubio hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in El Salvador's zone, Alberto Alfaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal and Alberto Alfaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th minute, Javier Herrera made a precise shot to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Manuel Ramírez scored 2-0 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 31 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Abram Luque. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Alfaro in the 32nd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manuel Ramírez. In the 36th minute of the match The Blues FC got a corner. El Salvador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jose Quicedo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jose Quicedo made a great header on The Blues FC's corner, it was just that El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 39th match minute, The Blues FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Quicedo to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute of the match Mateo Leguizamo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rolando Quintero skillfully saved the ball. After 44 minutes of play, El Salvador's Moises Fernandino made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Quintero was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 47 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Moises Fernandino. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Moises Fernandino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Moises Fernandino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Rolando Quintero made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Alfaro in the 58th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Alfaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 72 played minutes The Blues FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Mota. After 75 minutes, Jose Quicedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The Blues FC and the El Salvador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jose Quicedo hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Moises Fernandino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
