The crowd rose to their feet as Vancouver Reds's Nicolás Castillo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gaston Roderigo. That made the score 1-3 after 82 minutes of play. After having played for 85 minutes, Nicolás Castillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vancouver Reds's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolás Castillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 89 minutes, Billy Oja made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. América-SC F.C.'s Gaston Roderigo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The América-SC F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Vancouver Reds were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
