Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sergiu Coșeriu started the match with the kick off. Virgil Şimonca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wojtek Szczęsny read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gheorghe Corbuț in the 8th minute of play forced Academia Rio's goalkeeper Aurelian Coporan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, F.C.BARLAD's goal looked a bit too open when Radu Păvăloae came free, but Wojtek Szczęsny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of F.C.BARLAD booed when Academia Rio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgil Şimonca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aurelian Coporan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gheorghe Corbuț in the 12th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aron Suşu in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wojtek Szczęsny saved F.C.BARLAD from getting behind. After 19 played minutes F.C.BARLAD got a freekick which was hit by Braulio Castel. Wojtek Szczęsny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgil Şimonca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gheorghe Corbuț had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute Sergiu Coșeriu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wojtek Szczęsny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Academia Rio's Sergiu Coșeriu in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye F.C.BARLAD's goalie prevented a goal. 27 minutes into the game, Pablo Paz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C.BARLAD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Academia Rio the free kick. In the 27th minute, Pablo Paz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute of the match Adrian Blănaru shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wojtek Szczęsny showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Academia Rio's Aron Suşu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wojtek Szczęsny made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The corner led F.C.BARLAD's Pablo Paz to fire away a dangerous shot which Aurelian Coporan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. F.C.BARLAD's Florin Racoviceanu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Adrian Blănaru, made in the 42nd minute of the game. In the 43rd minute, Gheorghe Corbuț ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aurelian Coporan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 47 minutes into the game, Gheorghe Corbuț cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Aurelian Coporan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Gheorghe Corbuț managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C.BARLAD's supporters rose to their feet, but Gheorghe Corbuț was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurelian Coporan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wojtek Szczęsny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radu Păvăloae, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 55th minute Radu Păvăloae shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wojtek Szczęsny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radu Păvăloae in the 59th minute of play forced F.C.BARLAD's goalkeeper Wojtek Szczęsny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Academia Rio's goalkeeper Aurelian Coporan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aurelian Coporan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Braulio Castel's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Wojtek Szczęsny made an important save on a dangerous shot by Radu Păvăloae in the 72nd minute. Wojtek Szczęsny didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Radu Păvăloae went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Wojtek Szczęsny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aron Suşu, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Radu Păvăloae got free with Wojtek Szczęsny in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dumitru Pantelimon kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Gheorghe Corbuț left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F.C.BARLAD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. With a little luck, F.C.BARLAD's Wojtek Szczęsny got control of the ball when Virgil Şimonca tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 96th minute, Gheorghe Corbuț made a precise shot to the right of Aurelian Coporan. Academia Rio's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. F.C.BARLAD were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Academia Rio for a fine match.
