Keylor Navas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Omar Duardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Janusz Teofila in the 10th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Nicolás Castillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vancouver Reds fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 15th minute, Maxwell Eddy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of NECKER49 booed when Vancouver Reds was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julian Gmoch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Salvador Bernat struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Omar Duardo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NECKER49. Maxwell Eddy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Keylor Navas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Salvador Bernat had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Omar Duardo. Vancouver Reds's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Salvador Bernat was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Keylor Navas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amédée Gillis went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Omar Duardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Ebardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Omar Duardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Haritzeder in the 43rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Salvador Bernat's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Omar Duardo was relentless in the 44th minute of the game.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jerry Lawler made a kick off. Jerry Lawler might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Keylor Navas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jerry Lawler ran back to his position shaking his head. Vancouver Reds's Jerry Lawler got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Maxwell Eddy came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Vancouver Reds fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maxwell Eddy couldn't finish the play. Vancouver Reds made a substitution. Billy Oja replaced Isiah Hinkle. In the 78th match minute, NECKER49 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Huly to maneuver through the defense. If Maxwell Eddy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benedicto Cordarrel got free with Omar Duardo in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vancouver Reds's Omar Duardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Huly in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute Gilberto Huly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Duardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 97th minute Vancouver Reds were awarded a corner. Maxwell Eddy went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Vancouver Reds's Maxwell Eddy to fire away a dangerous shot which Keylor Navas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Vancouver Reds's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
