With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Stavri Drakev tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Dorel Călin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Venko Devenski in the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th minute of the match FC LEVSKI ОК got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vasko Stepanov ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Vasko Stepanov got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Venko Devenski's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Dorel Călin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 30th minute. Dorel Călin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute of play. Vasko Stepanov kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Dorel Călin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 53rd minute of play forced FC LEVSKI ОК's goalkeeper Dorel Călin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When He Yuan Wen fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC LEVSKI ОК's protests and gave He Yuan Wen a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FC LEVSKI ОК's He Yuan Wen got a free kick in the 61st minute. Dorel Călin made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In the 83rd minute, Antonio Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peycho Zheynov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Dorel Călin made a huge save. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. FC LEVSKI ОК were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
