But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Coslada Juniors's zone, Edmundo Espiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Irinel Vărzaru came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Honduras booed when Coslada Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Telmo Elias didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 30th minute of the match Telmo Elias completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Telmo Elias a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Coslada Juniors getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Telmo Elias hit a great ball. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Coslada Juniors's goalkeeper Irinel Vărzaru, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Adrian Ilie had to leave the field with a concussion. 33 minutes into the game, Ivan Navarro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Honduras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Coslada Juniors the free kick. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Naranjo, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Irinel Vărzaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 44th minute of play. Angelino Miro kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the game, Germán Sánchez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Naranjo, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Edmundo Espiga was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 59th minute. Honduras's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 62nd minute, Germán Sánchez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 63 minutes, Sebastian Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Villa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 65 played minutes Coslada Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Anaya Urquijo. Ted Paz made in the 67th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Angelino Miro however managed to control. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmundo Espiga got free with Irinel Vărzaru in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the match, Coslada Juniors's goalkeeper Irinel Vărzaru had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastian Villa. 76 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Coslada Juniors's Irinel Vărzaru. Irinel Vărzaru was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ivan Navarro kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Naranjo in the 95th minute of the match. The Coslada Juniors fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Honduras were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
