Alfred Coleiro tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Pankracy Zawacki. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-1 in the 11th minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Meerkats FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aleksander Zapolski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aron Ghinescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pankracy Zawacki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 16th minute of the match. Shaun De Battista hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After having played for 19 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aron Ghinescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pankracy Zawacki having to interfere. In the 32nd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Meerkats FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Meerkats FC's goalie and right to Agustín Saelices. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Meerkats FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Ildefonso Fliz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ildefonso Fliz in the 37th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ildefonso Fliz got free with Julio Vera in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Pankracy Zawacki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gilbert Incorvaia fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Meerkats FC's protests and gave Gilbert Incorvaia a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Meerkats FC's Gilbert Incorvaia got a free kick in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ildefonso Fliz made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ildefonso Fliz in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Ildefonso Fliz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Meerkats FC's goalkeeper Pankracy Zawacki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Pankracy Zawacki made a huge save. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pankracy Zawacki came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 62nd minute. Ildefonso Fliz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute Aron Ghinescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 87 minutes, Ildefonso Fliz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Meerkats FC and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ildefonso Fliz kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by George Axiaq during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ildefonso Fliz in the 95th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Meerkats FC throughout the match.
